Seeding the cloud

Cloud computing and the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) delivery mechanism which is one aspect of it – where the treasury management system (TMS) is hosted by the vendor, effectively outsourcing the technology, connectivity and maintenance – is an increasingly popular option for corporates, especially for treasuries that lack the money for upfront capital expenditure in their cash management systems and want to upgrade gradually.
