Kyriba named an industry pioneer in QKS Group’s AI Maturity Matrix for cash management systems

Every finance leader I meet is asking vendors the same question: Is your AI real?
It is the right question, and a hard one to answer from a demo. The distance between an AI roadmap and AI a treasury team will actually run payments through is enormous, and none of it is visible on a slide. So when an independent analyst firm measures that distance across an entire category, the results deserve a close read.
QKS Group has published its QKS Group AI Maturity Matrix™: Cash Management for Corporates, 2026 and Kyriba is positioned in the top right as an Industry Pioneer, the highest placement on both evaluation axes: AI Vision & Strategy and AI Productization.

The only Most Valuable Pioneer
QKS Group assessed vendors on two dimensions: the credibility of their AI vision, and how much of that vision has been productized into the platform rather than positioned alongside it. Most of the category did not reach the top tier.
Kyriba did, and sits highest on both axes, as the only vendor in the report named Most Valuable Pioneer.
What earns that distinction is not feature count. Features can be matched. What cannot be matched is an architecture built from the start to make AI defensible inside a finance function. That takes years of decisions, most of them invisible to a buyer until the moment they matter.
Three reasons behind our placement
Three architectural choices explain the gap, and each is difficult to replicate after the fact.
A unified data model. Kyriba's AI operates on the same data, permissions, and audit trails that already govern cash, payments, risk, and working capital. There is no second system to reconcile and no parallel set of controls to maintain. This is the foundation QKS Group cited when it named Kyriba the technology leader in its SPARK Matrix for Enterprise Treasury & Risk Management.
AI embedded in the workflow, not bolted beside it. Kyriba's Trusted AI, TAI, our agentic AI platform, is built directly into our Liquidity Performance Platform, supporting cash forecasting, payment fraud detection, invoice management, liquidity planning, and intelligent assistance, all in the context finance teams already work in.
A privately hosted LLM architecture. Kyriba's AI runs within established security, privacy, and compliance frameworks, with no third-party exposure. For treasury, where the data is the balance sheet, this is not a preference but a requirement.
The analysts credited the strategy, not the feature list
Principal Analyst Pradnya Gugale credits Kyriba with "moving beyond AI-assisted automation toward intelligent, governed decision-making":
"Rather than introducing isolated AI capabilities, Kyriba has embedded purpose-built AI into core operational workflows, enabling organizations to improve forecasting accuracy, strengthen fraud resilience, and automate complex financial processes with greater confidence."
Isolated capabilities versus embedded workflows. That is the distinction finance leaders feel most acutely once a pilot ends and real money starts moving. AI bolted onto the side of a platform creates another system to reconcile, another set of permissions, another place where control can break. AI embedded in the workflow inherits the policies, approvals, and audit trails that already govern the work.
One adds risk while the other removes it.
Purpose-built, governed, explainable
Three principles guide every AI capability Kyriba ships:
Purpose-built. Designed for the specific decisions of treasury and finance teams, not adapted from a general-purpose tool.
Governed. Operating within established security, privacy, and compliance frameworks, on a privately hosted LLM architecture with no third-party exposure.
Explainable. Users see how AI reaches a recommendation and apply their own policies and confidence thresholds.
QKS Group highlighted each as evidence of a strategy that "balances innovation with trust." That phrase matters. Finance leaders cannot adopt what they cannot explain to an auditor, a board, or a regulator. Explainability and governance are not procurement checkboxes. They are the conditions that make AI usable.
Evidence, not just recognition
Where analyst placements describe potential, customers describe real results.
HelloFresh generates nearly $8 billion in revenue across three regions and runs its treasury with a team of three. Kyriba's TAI now finds hard-to-reconcile payments in seconds, and turns audit research that once consumed hours into an immediate answer. For a lean team at that scale, the value is not the time saved; it is what the time is reallocated to: analysis, judgment, and decisions.
A pattern, not a moment
The AI Maturity Matrix is the second consecutive analyst evaluation to reach the same conclusion from a different direction. QKS Group's SPARK Matrix for Enterprise Treasury & Risk Management named Kyriba the technology leader in the category, citing its unified data model, AI, and global connectivity. The AI Maturity Matrix asked a narrower question, focused entirely on AI, and placed Kyriba at the top again.
We are delighted to be featured in both reports, through two different lenses, echoing the same finding:
"Kyriba is well positioned to shape the next generation of AI-driven cash management platforms."

Trusted to Transform
AI is moving out of experimentation and into workflows where errors have consequences. The organizations that navigate it well will not be the ones that adopted fastest, but the ones that adopted in a way they can stand behind.
The best leaders I speak with do not treat innovation and control as opposing forces. They build foundations that make both possible at once, because trust is earned through transparency and authority comes through governance. That is what it means to be Trusted to Transform.
More than 4,000 organizations worldwide rely on Kyriba to run their liquidity strategy. This report explains why that number keeps growing.
